Are Lumps On The Tongue A Side Effect Of Taking Cholesterol Medicine?

Last Saturday or Sunday I found a knot under the skin of my tongue. Today I went to my dermatoglist and she felt it also and gave me a steroid shot. Tonight I also found one in the middle of my tongue that I did not know was there.Thisis not a cold sore and she also said it was not one. I have change cholesterol medicine recently and did not know if this could have some effect or may be something else. She said if not totally gone in 2 to 3 weeks or comes back see a ENT. Should I be worry.

Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of lumps under your tongue following a recent intake of cholesterol drug I strongly believe you have developed a tongue ulcer due to irritation from the cholesterol drug
In view of this please stop the cholesterol drug then follow up with your physician advice for possible ENT specialist appointment
I hope this helps
Regards and get well soonest
