Are Headaches And Fatigue Related To Schawnoma In The Brain?
I was just diagnosed with a schawnoma in my brain. I have been having balance issues headaches and fatigue. My hearing is fine. all test are normal. I was involved in two mva s in six months both resulting in a severe concussions. So we have been assuming all of my symptoms are related to the concussions. Now I am wondering if the headaches and fatigue could be related to the schawnoma? I am told we are just going to watch it for six months.
I would like to explain that it is very rare for a shwanoma to cause headache and fatigue. These symptoms can appear after many years with a shwanoma, when it has grown in huge dimensions and compresses the surrounding brain structures.
The main initial symptoms caused by a shwanoma are hearing loss ( difficulty in speech discrimination), which is typically noticed when talking to the phone and dizziness and gait problems. Later facial numbness appears and headache. I would like to know the dimensions of your shwanoma when diagnosed. These tumors grow very slowly and it takes years to manifest a full clinical scenario.
So I think that the balance issues may be related to the shwanoma. But the headaches and fatigue are more probable to be caused by the repeated concussions.
Hope to have been helpful!
