Are Headache, Light Sensitivity In Eyes And Lower Back Pain Related To Neurological Problem?

My 14 year old son is experiencing severe headache pain, eyes sensitive to light, and lower back pain? He played in a basketball game last night and when he came home complained of these symptoms, first the headache, eyes, and then woke up with the lower back pain . Could this be something neurological?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What your son is facing is not a neurological problem.
His back ache could be due to physical exhaustion after playing game. You can apply analgesic cream topically and give analgesic medication like Ibuprofen orally after food.
His other symptoms of headache and light sensitivity in eyes could be also due to playing game. However, it would be better if you can check his eyes by consulting Opthalmologist for sight.
Kindly supplement him with good amount of fluids and oral rehydration solutions.
He should be better gradually.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
