Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms mentioned by you are not characteristic of multiple sclerosis (MS). Burning sensation in calves and hands can be due to deficiency of vitamin-B12. Vitamin-B12 deficiency can also cause loss of balance. I suggest you to get a vitamin-B12 level after consulting your physician or neurologist for clinical assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
