Are Dydrogesterone Tables Safe To Use?

Hello doctor I want to ask you about dydrogestron 10mg tablets twice daily for 20 days which one prescribed by one gynecologist for my wife . She is first time pregnant for 4 to 5 week . And she don t have history of recurrent miscarriage. under this circumstance is it safe for her to use that medicine or no. she is 35 years old. Please waiting for your answer. Thank you

Understand your concern
Dehydrogesteron giving in the high risk pregnancy to maintain the pregnancy and promote the growth of baby.
It is safe and does not affect the pregnancy.
It also reduce the spotting/bleeding and risk of miscarriage.
So take under the advice of gynecologist and do regualr follow up to know the progress of the pregnancy by USG scan.
