Are Chronic Post Nasal Drip And Bad Sore Throat Side Efeects Of Being On BCP For Months ?
Hi, I ve been on BCP for about 7 months (tricyclen lo) and since then I ve had a chronic postnasal drip with a very bad sore throat, night sweats, weight gain around hips (which is concerning to me because I m naturally slim with a high metabolism, it s uncommon for me to gain weight) mucus, fibrosis, and occasional sinus pain. I ve also had a lot of anxiety recently. Before I started, I was told that I might have a hormone imbalance (low progesterone). All of these problems started once I started the pill. Is it safe to say that these issues are from the pills and if so, is it safe for me to stop taking it?

Postnasal drip and chronic sorethroat likely from environmental allergies but try to see your doctor to rule out any bactetial infection.
Other symptoms of weight gain and mood issues can be from hormone pills.
Try to discuss your concerns with the prescribing MD.
If you want to go off of BCP, make sure you have other forms of protection but suggest to discuss with your MD.
