Are Bloodshot Eye And Extreme Fatigue Post A Hit On Temple Normal?

My husband hit his head on the car door when getting out. He is a 39 year old man and hit his left temple. He is complaining on a bloodshot eye and feeling super tired. He is at work now and is functioning good. He didn t sleep much last night and does have to work a night shift so he is more tired than normal already. Should he be seen tonight?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
it seems that due to hard hit on temple there might be having hematom on the part and now gravitated down into eye producing blood shot eye.
Apply ice pack on temporal region and eye for few days.
Give ibuprofen medicine for pain.
Ok and take care.
