Are Zithromax And Acetaminophen Advisable For High Fever?

My son has been running a high fever for 5 days. I have been giving him acetaminophen and ibuprofen on and off and he has also been taking the antibiotic zythromax for 2 days. Its midnight and i just took his temperature and it was 96.8. Should i be worried

Hi I did understand your concern. I believe Zythromax was not needed unless your child had yellowish sputum or any other sign of bacterial illness. However, since now the temperature is normal, you should not be worried. Pleas consult a doctor if the temperature remains above 100.4F even after acetaminophan tablet 1 dose or he has seizure or yellowish sputum or bloody diarrhoea
