Are Flagyl And Terconazole Drugs Considered Unsafe During First Trimester Of Pregnancy?
I m currently 11 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctor and currently was diagnosed with a yeast and bacterial infection. I was prescribed a generic form of Flagyl (pill) and Terconazole 0.4 cream to use for 7 days. I read that these were unsafe in the first trimester. Is this true? And what should I do?
Since their safety during first trimester of the pregnancy has not been established hence these drugs should be avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Ask your doctor for effective alternatives to be used to eradicated the mixed fungal and bacterial vaginal infection.
Hope I have answered your query.
