Are Clarithromycin And Omnacortil Safe For An Infant?
My son is 7 months old who has been coughing for a month. So the consult doctor prescribed for Omnacortil 5m/5ml of 2.5ml twice a day and Clorithromycin 125mg/5ml of 2.5ml twice a day. Therefore, I would like to know is it OK to give him these medicines? And also giving him Ascoril LS of 1 ml thrice a day.

Giving steroids is not safe they cause many problems like immune suppression, Peptic, and osteoporosis et cetera.
But, if risk outweighs benefits means you have to take. Clarithromycin may cause loose stools also. Please follow your treating doctor orders, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
