Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are 2 diagnoses that I think might be your case.

Rupture of the patellar tendon or knee cup fracture. Both of them are responsible for straightening of the knee. I suggest you to go to ER to do a proper test with x-ray and MRI and respective treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Edvin Selmani
