After three miserable weeks, I am finally feeling good again...though have not regained my energy back.
I believe my doctor misdiagnosed me. He diagnosed me with sinus. I questioned that bc I had absolutely no symptoms of sinus, i.e., facial/teeth/or headache pain. Nor did I have a stuffy nose. When I mentioned that to him his comment was, "Take what I am prescribing for you and if it doesn't help, then we will do something different." I was shocked to say the least. He never even looked in my nose or throat.
I was miserable!!! I had a cough that was so bad that it sounded like I was coughing up my lungs. I'm not a smoker nor have I ever been. I'm not around smokers. I was extremely tired, had fever, was so weak that I actually fell in the bathroom one night. And could not even take care of myself for a couple of days. No strength or energy to even walk to the kitchen to fix something to eat. All I felt like doing was sleeping and I'm normally a busy person.
I believe I had bronchitis. After one round of Augmentin (and Acidophilus.. that did not prevent diarrhea like the pharmacist said it would), Prednizone, and a prescription cough medicine, I was no better. I managed to drive back to the doctor's office a week later, and very reluctantly he gave me a prescription of Zythromycin (sp?). Five days later I was a new person. I'm feeling like myself again except for the energy level.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
