A sudden deep pain developed seemingly deep in my left hip about 8AM, had to lie down. Applied ice, helped somewhat, also took three 200mg ibuprofen. After a half hour or so pain let up but did not disappear. Added heat to where ice pack had been, pain still decreased but still there.
Have spent the day with it very much present. At times it was easier to just stand up, but this evening I began walking with crutches. Very painful to do any moving especially sittiNG or getting up.
I was prescribed AMLODIPINE--5MG A WEEK AGO FOR BORDERLNE BLOOD PRESSURE. I AM 76 YEARS OLD AND IN VEY GOOD PHSICAL SHAPE. SINCE THIS SEVERE PAIN APPEARED SUDDENLY WITHOUT ME DOING TODAY ANY OF THE PHYSICAL THINGS I NORMALLY DO--WHICH MIGHT HAVE HAD ME HURTING MYSELF. NO SUCH STUFF TODAY BEFORE THIS BEGAN, I am wondering if this could be a side effect from the AMLODIPINE?
NOT SURE IF IT IS MUSCULAR, ONLY KNOW IT SEEMS DEEP IN MY RIGHT HIP AND AS A RESULT I HAVE NO STRENGTH, AND LOTS OF PAIN IF I PUT ANY WEIGHT ON THAT LEG IN CERTAIN POSITIONS.
SUGGESTIONS MOST APPRECIATED.
