4 Year Old Having A Boil In The Vagina. Sibling Was Treated For Golden Staph Infection. Is This The Same Infection?

My 4 year old daughter has a small pimple on the top of her vagina . My 8 year old had similar things on her thighs and is being treated for golden staph. Is it possible this spis what my 4 year old has. She is due to have surgery to take her adenoids out and grommets in on Tuesday, in 3 days, is this still safe for her to hve operation

Hello,

Staph causes superficial skin infection and it is contiguous through social contact.

She can undergo the surgery has the infection is not systemic and can be treated with antibiotic pre and postoperatively.

To prevent recurrence personal hygiene should be maintained.
