2 Days Back I Tried To Consciously Control My Thoughts,

2 days back I tried to consciously control my thoughts, continuously, and it helped me stay out of all distractions, and focus on my studies.

With practice I could even turn off the thoughts and enter a meditative state with little effort. I would feel fresh and energized throughout the day-- no hint of tiredness or fatigue.

Before this, I used to nap frequently, and felt sleepy many times during the day.

But now, when I try to nap, its like my 'consciousness' just wouldn't go away-- I could make my mind go blank like I said and be still-- the alarm would ring in 20 minutes and I wouldn't even know that time has passed-- it happens almost instantly.
And this is OK-- I feel relaxed and feel as if all the benefits of napping still accrue.

But yesterday I woke up early and went pretty late to bed (studies!), and there was some 'fall in performance level' in the morning. I'm still extremely 'conscious' and in control of my thoughts, and I know I should make up for lost sleep. But I can't nap!

Should I be concerned? Is there any way I can get back to normal napping and retain the new found 'control over my mind'?
