Question: suffering from intense pain in area where i had surgery for inguinal hernia with mesh. started two years ago after intense coughing fit, could no longer sit in a chair without pain, trouble with bowel movements like increased urination and trouble passing stool. got a lot worse in the past month after another coughing fit. pain ranges from site of hernia down to crease in leg next to testicles. tingling in right side of testicle also occurs. headache like symptoms on right side along with watery right eye and increased after images in vision in both eyes

Very likely this long lasting pain is related to the mesh used at time of surgery. I would suggest you to go for a CT scan as ultrasound is very basic test and may not see mesh. History of pain after intense coughing again suggest the same.
