Brief Answer:

Antibiotics and dexamethasone

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

But Haemophilus influenza is a bacterial infection that can lead to various complications, especially in immunocompromised patients. These complications include meningitis, pneumonia, pericarditis or cellulitis.

Basically, the treatment is by antibiotics as azithromycin or ceftriaxone together with glucocorticoid treatment by dexamethasone to prevent the spread of the infection to viral sites as the meninges and the pericardium.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
