Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor.
You underwent procedure called laminectomy for L1-S1 vertebra. This is usual spine surgery which is done for degenerative spine disorders, fractures or disc protrusions. It means that small parts of disc and spine are removed in order to decompress nerves. Considering report, the Surgery was successful. But long term prognosis is difficult to determine. However, in most cases there is significant improvement of symptoms. In early postoperative period, pain is expected as there is swelling and nerve irritation that supplies legs. However if there is loss of sensation, large hematoma or increasing pain, you should consult doctor. Otherwise, things should be better after 7-10 days. Wish you good health. Regards
