Question: i am getting general sexual screening. do you suggest if I Can get a regular Urine test to indicate if there's an infection and then further if I would get tested for type of infection e.g. chlamydia? or should I spend money straight on expensive Chlamydia urine test and get it screened?

That depends upon your sexual activity. If you have sex with more than one partner, then you can have all the tests in STD panel including Chlamydia to rule out the least possibility of these infections. In women, there is quite often chances for STI to remain asymptomatic or hidden due to anatomy of female genitals.
If you didn't have any sexual activity so far, then chances for Chlamydia is unlikely. In this situation, You can opt for urine examination for deposits.. If there is presence of pus cells more than 5, then you can have test for culture and sensitivity and test for Chlamydia.
