Question: hi,

i am planning for pregnancy but from past few months i feel i have less bleeding during periods(only for 2 days). i had less vitamin iam taking injections.

Hello,

Less bleeding than normal indicates iron deficiency anemia probably.

You should get your CBC done to find out if you do have anemia, if the hemoglobin levels are within normal limits, then you do not need to worry about the amount of bleeding during periods for now.

You should continue your vitamin injections as advised by your doctor.

Since you are planning to conceive, it is a advisable to take folic acid tablets (5 mg) daily as that will prevent neural tube defects in the baby once you have conceived.
