Question: hello doc, my baby was born on mar 22. Her birth weight was 2.65kg. by the end of 1st month she was 3.3kg and 2nd month she was 4.3kgs and 3rd month she was around 5kgs.but this month till now she has gained 250gms she is now 5.25kgs..she is not gaining weight properly..she throws up milk after every feed..is there anything to worry doctor

Thanks for writing to us.
Babies usually double their birth weight in 4 months. Your baby has done that now.
Growth happens in spurts. Some months they gain more weight than other months.
No cause for concern.
Some amount of vomiting after feed is normal.
But if this continues and weight gain is less than 300g next month, then maybe gastroesophageal reflux may be considered.
This will need clinical examination and trial of pro kinetics if required as assessed by your Pediatrician.
As of now nothing urgent.
Can continue breastfeeding and follow up regularly with your childs Pediatrician.
