Brief Answer: Scarring on X-ray chest can pose problem. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. There are many developed countries in the world which prohibit the entry of people with active tuberculosis. A medical screening is done for people who have applied for permanent visa. Any evidence of past tuberculosis (scarring on X-ray chest) is also considered to be potent factor on the basis of which they can refuse the visa. However, you will have to consult the exact procedure followed for the visa for a particular country since different countries follow their set pattern. You need to consult the embassy services for details. As far as medical help is concerned, the scars on the X-ray chest can pose a problem. Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
