Brief Answer:
Treatment on correct lines

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I understand your apprehension about the diagnosis. However, you yourself are confirming on one part of the diagnosis - anxiety and depression. Bipolar has depression at one end of the spectrum and excitation at the other. In other words, bipolar refers to the condition of not being able to balance the mood and therefore being prone to mood swings. If you feel that you do not have mood swings, that is fine. But the diagnosis of bipolar would rather be a safe one than sorry.

The treatment would not be much difference from that of a depression but would cover certain additional aspects. I can assure you that that would not harm you. The medication seems proper even for the diagnosis of depression and anxiety alone and therefore you need not worry.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thank you.
