When Does One Get Intermittent Severe Stomach Pain, Bloating, Gas And Burning Sensation In The Chest?

default
Posted on Tue, 16 Jan 2024
Question: I have intermittent severe belly pain and a burning that runs up my chest that, once it starts, stay for no less than an hour. Bending over sometimes helps alleviate the pain a little, which occasionally comes right after eating and other times it can be 2+ hours after food. Bloating and gas often accompany the pain. There doesn't seem to be one particular food that's always associated with the symptoms. I've taken antacids, Beano, and medicine for gas without relief.

Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Your pain seems to be caused by peptic ulcer, stomach inflammation or acid reflux disease. If so, the pain should be dull and not well localized. Nausea and lack of apettite can appear with it.
Fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee can trigger it.
It would be good to consult gastrologist and have gastroscopy done. You should also avoid mentioned foods.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
