Brief Answer:
High blood pressure and kidneys

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

High blood pressure can be caused by kidney problems such as:
- Obstruction of urine flow
- Chronic kidney infection
- Polycystic kidney disease (many cysts in the kidney, present at birth)

Also high blood pressure can cause kidney failure by causing the arteries around the kidneys to narrow and weaken. Conditions that cause narrowing of the artery that carries blood to your kidney are:
- Fibromuscular dysplasia(usually in young women)
- Atherosclerotic renal artery narrowing or hardening(occurs later in life)
