Question: Hi Doc,

This is for my sister,

Around 2 months back, one day suddenly she started with Dizziness, loss of balance, blurred vision, chills.

We went to the doctor, tested sugar level and it was on a lower side and doc said to stop taking diabetes medicine.

Then next couple of days she had bad stomach ache, dizziness, loss of balance when she stands and nausea feeling but no vomiting. She feels better when lying down.

Then slowly all the symptoms had gone away in around 10 days.

Then from then she is feeling light headache, on and off and stomach ache, that too on and off. Not everyday. And evening times she feels blurred vision and sometimes nausea but no vomiting.

We had recently done blood test and eye test and all seem to be fine. but in ultrasound wefound out that she has Fibroids and Polycyst in the left ovary.

She is doing fine without anything major issue now. Just little Dizzy feeling somedays and slight headache usually on the right side some days. Also sometimes a sharp headache for few seconds on right side of the head and blurred vision in the evenings.

Do you suggest any tests to be done?

Any advice? We are worried about her.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Possibility of vertigenous migraine is likely if all test and examination is normal.
Take timely food and adequate sleep.
Avoid excessive tea, coffee, chocolates.
Drugs like flunarizine can be used for this condition.
Other drugs like amitriptyline, divalproate, topiramate can be used too.
No need of any test at present.
Brain CT or MRI may be planned if symptoms persist.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
