What Should I Treat A Bleeding Epithelial Cyst With?

Question: I have, what looks like, an epithelial cyst. At 0300 this am it started bleeding. I had buy wife clean it and apply polysporin ung. I had a previous one two yrs ago that oozed x 4weeks. What should I treat this lesion with. Last time I finally got an Rx for an oral antibiotic +
a (?) steroid ung. What should I Tx this with to not have the massive staph like before? Tanks

Hi,

As per your description, it could be an infected sebaceous cyst / epithelial cyst. To control infection, Antibiotic like Linezolid 600mg twice daily and Anti inflammatory tablet should be taken with doctor's advice. Once the infection is subsided, the swelling has to be excised completely along with it's wall. Simple drainage of the Pus without removal of Cystwall will lead to recurrence. Please consult a surgeon and proceed further. Nothing to worry.
