Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Welcome and thank you for asking us.

Regarding your concern, I would like to know if blood in the stool was fresh red blood or black stool?

If it was fresh red blood it is very likely to be related to hemorrhoids and not to the stomach or the blood thinner.

Coming to this point, if it persists or if your stool is black coloured, I would recommend repeating the complete blood count after a couple of days, in order to investigate for possible progression of anaemia.

In such case a fibrogastroscopy may be needed.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr.Iliri
