Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. To correct eye sight (refractive error) we have three options with us-
1. Time tested method that is spectacles of proper power.
2. Contact lenses of different colour shades
3. Laser surgery to correct the power.
Since you have a power of 2.5 Diopter, it is not that high and it will remain same or may have minor changes. Although Laser surgery is safe and makes you spectacle free, it is commonly preferred and done in person with high eyesight power (5 or more than that). It is my personal advice to go for contact lens if you have not used them. As they have different colour shade to choose from. However minor/rare it may be, laser surgery has some complication.
The latest in laser surgery is bladeless laser surgery. The choice lies entirely in your hand.
Hope this helps in decision making.
Take care
