Question: HI doctor,

I want to know the food chart for a 10 months baby girl and what all are the key points to identify good growth as per standards and what all milestones should she complete in a year.

Now she is trying to stand and mostly we attend to her always, but at times when she falls, she cries and vomits immediately after that she is fine, can you please tell me if this is something to be worried?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry, just observe closely

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Regarding milestones at 10 months of age babies usually do standing with support, cruising around, crawling, waving bye bye, holding small objects, say baba / dada / mama.

By one year of age babies usually start walking without support and can utter 4-5 words without proper meaning.
As your baby is standing with support this is normal for her age.
Regarding diet 5 major meals (each consist of 1 small katori) including khichdi, daliya, milk with bread, milk with biscuits, kheer, halwa, dal with bread can be given. Give small meals consists of fruits like banana, chiku, mashed Apple etc.
Add vegetables in meal(you can mix in grinder).

Give milk in between and during night time. Add ghee to make the meal calorie rich. It is common for the babies to fall in this age. Observe the baby closely and be around to avoid any fall or major injury.

Observe for any abnormal symptoms like frequent vomiting, excessive irritability or letharginess, any restricted mobility of limbs, any abnormal jerky movements and if you notice any please consult your pediatrician. As in this age babies try to put everything in mouth, be careful so that baby should not get choked by any foreign body ingestion.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards
