Brief Answer:
Oral thrush

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Oral thrush is what your dentist mean. Oral thrush is mainly because of imbalance between the beneficial organisms and harmful organisms in the oral cavity. The imbalance could be due to various reasons, local infections, chronic diseases, Lupus, diabetes or any immunity attacking diseases.

If it is recurring thrush we generally investigate for the above low immune conditions. The mouth wash would also work along with probiotics. So your dentist was thereotically right to prescribe the mouth wash and probiotics.
Local antifungals form the next step of treatment. Since this is first and new you can just use CANDIDA (Clotrimazole topical mouth paint) which works on the oral fungus if the treatment of your dentist does not work.

Hope this answers.
