What Is The Prognosis For Hiatal Hernia Despite Taking PPI, Statins And Synthroid?
Question: I have a large hiatal hernea, and severe reflux. I am currently taking 40mg of a ppi per day, and some times twice a day on my doctor's instructions. I also take a statin, synthroid, a daily migraine medicine, and an ssri. My dad has recently been diagnosed with non-alcholic liver disease, and all of the commercials about kidney disease with the ppi's are scaring me. How concerned should I be? I take all the meds for good reasons, and am also afraid to stop them.
