Hi doctor

This is the first time i am facing this problem from last 15 days.

I dont have any xrays taken for this problem. Dentist checked it by holding my jaw bones n asking me to open n close my mouth.

I could sense the pain while chewing/opening my mouth widely. I see this pain getting increased day by day

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Erupting third molars.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for reply.

Pain from past fifteen days is too short history to confirm it as a TMJ problem.

In my few, there could be erupting third molars, which can cause unilateral or bilateral pain in your age group.

I would like to know the status of your third molars(wisdom teeth). Are they erupted fully or partially in your mouth?

This could be one of the reasons for referred pain to ears and neck too.
I would advise you to go for small x ray to see the present status of your third molars.

Meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene and let me know the details.
Awaiting response.
Thanks.
Take care.

Hi

Wisdom tooth fully erupted on both sides. Infact i had to get it removed on one side due to decay.

But the pain is on other side.

Let me know what type of xray needs to be taken.

Thanks for your help.

Brief Answer:
IOPA

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for reply.

Its very nice to know that your third molars are fully developed and erupted well in the mouth.
As I said earlier, that you require a intra oral periapical x ray(IOPA).A small x ray taken to see the roots of the teeth.
So please get it done and post it here too, also follow the treatment required for decay on the other side.
Dental decay is infectious and spreads to other teeth too,if not managed well.
So follow good oral hygiene measures as always.

Hope it helps.
Let me know for further doubts.
Thanks.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Advised extraction

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for reply.
you have sent me OPG Xray, with which I can see the status of all the four third molars.
Based on x ray view it appears that your lower third molars are impinging on the roots of adjacent second molars. Also radio graph shows that it is partially erupted on one side.

In my view you must meet an oral and maxillofacial surgeon(dentist dealing exclusively with jaw bones and wisdom teeth removal) with this supporting x rays and get the lower third molars,on either side extracted.
This should help.

Let me know for further doubts.
Thanks.
Take care.
