What Is Periodic Left Underarm Warmth About?

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Dec 2014
Question: What is periodic left underarm warmth about? Warmth radiates to left elbow - generally lasts seconds. There is no pain associated with the warmth.

I have stenosis of the cervical disks in my neck - 30 years ago had cervical laminectomy. Not sure if this is relevant.

Brief Answer:
Please, for how long has this been going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear to hear about this warmth that you have reported. To address this problem, I will like to know for how long this has been going on.

Honestly, isolated warmth without any other symptom is less likely to be of real pathological origin. If this is a recent observation, I will suggest that you do nothing and observe only. My deepest feeling about this is that it represents a transient occurrence and would resolve spontaneously without need for medical intervention. This is clearly no related to the disk stenosis that was repaired a long time ago. For now, I advice monitoring and stay relaxed and not too concerned about this..

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
