Brief Answer:
Get examined by a neurologist and take medication as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Dizziness or vertigo in supine position is most likely due to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
The vertigo is posture dependant.
Examination by a neurologist will provide more clarity regarding need of any brain imaging.
Drugs like betahistine, cinnarizine can be taken.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

How do I contend with supine vertigo, other than not lying down. I guess I sleep sitting up. Are those meds prescription types? What is the possible cause of vertigo? Is it related to inner ear? I have nothing unusual health wise or ear related recently that I know of. XXXXXXX
