What Does White Pimple Looking Sores On Scalp Indicate?

Question: I have sml white pimple looking sores on my scalp some are swollen warm and very sore, I have picked at them , however they are not itchy. I'm 44 female, have had an iron infusion a year ago, and have always been anaemic. I'm embarrassed to go to the dr's. what is the cause? What treatment is required? Hope u can help me
