Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Namasthe
Dear Ms XXXXXXX

CMV( Cytomegalo virus ) once infected the virus persists in body lifelong.
Raised Serum IgG level for CMV suggest one of the following

1. Past active infection
2. Transplacentally transmitted IgG found in the newborn, whose mother has been infected with IgG

Presence of IgG does not denote active disease, it denotes protection against CMV. Presence of IgM antibody is suggestive of active infection.

I hope it helped.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take Care

Brief Answer:
It just indicates chronic infection

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXXXXX

You can get CMV DNA or CMV PCR test which is confirmatory test.
From the above report it could only mean chronic infection. CMV may get reactivated anytime, presence of positive IgM indicates active infection.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance.
