What Does The Following Widal Test Report Indicate?

Question: As I was suffering from fever from past 2 weeks, i had undergone a test typhoid widal: s.typhi 'O' 1:80
s.TYphi 'H' 1:80 and the rest are negative.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
See Widal test is highly non specific test. It can be raised in sub clinical Infection also.
So there is no point in getting worried about this range.
This much rise can occur as a result of infection that we can catch many times by eating outside but our body fights with the infection and eliminates it without coming to our notice even. But since Infection was there the antibodies would be generated and that comes as Widal titres that you are seeing.
Only Rising titres are significant that too with Fever.
If your Fever has settled and you are just worried for this rise in Widal then ignore it and relax.
If your Fever is persisting provide details about the fever.
