Brief Answer:
I would like to change the formula

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for choosing this platform

I have gone through the detail and the stool report shows presence of mucus and occult blood.
Presence of mucus and occult blood while a baby is on formula feed which is Cow milk based can be due to cow milk protein(casein) allergy.
Here I would like to change the formula feed to casein free soy based milk like Nusobee.
Please consult a pediatrician for the change in formula and also get a stool test done after 10 days to see the effect.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more queries.

Thank You doctor.

My concern is he needs to be on Soy based milk till when? Can I again switch to Naan once the report is normal?

Will he be more sick if I continue with Naan?

Also insted of soy milk can I start Cow milk and top feed?

Brief Answer:
I won't suggest you to give cow milk

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up

Cow milk contains a kind of protein (casein)which causes cow milk protein allergy. The soy based formula can be casein free or with casein.
It would be better to give casein free soy formula.
I won't suggest you to give cow milk as it may worsen the condition.
Please get the stool test done after 10-15 days.
Depending on the clinical condition and stool report you may switch back to the cow milk based formula after consulting a pediatrician.
Please feel free to ask further if you have any more doubt.

What if he doesn't accept Soy milk? is there any other option?

He is active, and taking milk as of now. Only think is he is sleeping less since few days.

Brief Answer:
Try soy milk, hydrolysate formula is another option

Detailed Answer:
If the stool pattern is normal, baby is active and accepting feeds well you may continue the current formula.
But if the stool is not normal it would be better to switch to soy formula. Most of the babies tolerate soy milk well.So I would suggest you to try the same.
Another option is hydrlysate formula which can be given in case of cow milk protein allergy.I wont get overly worried for his sleep as change in sleep pattern is normal till 4-5 months.
