What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?

Posted on Sat, 26 Nov 2016
Question: Hi,
Took a complete medical checkup 3months back. Results have shown that I have High cholesterol(Triglycerides 241). Doctor has advised to take ZYROVA F5 tablets for a month which I did.

Now from past few days I feel inconvenience in the right side of the heart just above abdomen(Feels like heartburn). Not sure if this related to cholesterol or gastric problem(Due to problems with indigestion).
Apart from this I do have small skin allergy(psoriasis only on hands) which is just getting healed.
Could you please help me in understanding what steps I need to take to fix all these issues. Do I need to consult any specialist or a general physician/Dietitian.

Thanks,
xxxxxxx

Brief Answer:
Get an ECG done

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query at HealthcareMagic.

Your heart burn seems to be due to gastric problem (gastroesophageal reflux) but I suggest that you get an ECG done anyways to rule out heart problem. Meanwhile take antacid like syrup digene 1 tbsp after food. Having high cholesterol does not confirm presence of heart condition. It is just a risk factor. You can see an internal medicine specialist for this.

Since your skin allergy is healing, it will get better on its own. You can see a dermatologist to confirm diagnosis and take appropriate treatment. You can also upload a photo of the rash.

I suggest the following lifestyle measures:
-avoid spicy foods and overeating
-Avoid high calorie foods like cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, icecream, etc
- Avoid high salt and oily foods
- Drink cleaner water preferably from an RO system
- Dont lie down immediately after food
- Take thicker foods at night
-Milk can also neutralise gastric acidity, juices can make it worse

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
