What Does My Follicular Scan Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 19 Sep 2017
Question: I am on a diagnostic follicular tracking. Not on any medicines except Fertisure-F.

My Left Ovary follicle grew upto 1.9*1.33 cm till day 14 of my cycle. Endometrial Thickness was 11mm.

On the 16th day the size reduced to 1.5 * 1.2 cm.

On the 17th day the size reduced to 1.3 * 0.75 cm and ET is 12.5 mm. Also on the 17th day the follicle wall was irregular.

Is this normal? And is ovulation possible?

Brief Answer:
Ovulation possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

I have gone through the attached report. Going by the findings, it is likely that ovulation has occurred. The finding of free fluid in the pouch of XXXXXXX adds to the fact that ovulation has occurred, but, this finding is not mandatory.

If you are trying to conceive now, this is the right time to go for regular sexual intercourse covering the few days before and the few days after the ovulation to achieve good result.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
