What Does My Follicle Study Report Indicate?

Question: Trying for pregnancy since last 6 months...Under medications but I do not see a dominant follicle even on the 14th day (from the first day of period)...Till which day follicles grow? What is the correct size for a good egg to get released

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.

The size of follicles should be more than 22-23 mm.to cause follicle rupture and egg released.

As you are PCOD patient you can wait for follicular rupture till day 16-18 days.

Last cycle i was on 25mg Fertly and till 19th day the size of follicle was less than 18mm...I did not get periods too for almost 50 days and hence took mepreate...

Was my period delayed so much due to less follicule size?

For this cycle doc asked me to take fertyl 50mg twice...Yesterday on 14th day there was no follicule seen in the scan....When can I expect follicle to develop?

It could be due to PCOD.

Hello dear,
Sorry for such a long delay in my response.

Your follicle size is not appropriate due to hormonal issues caused by PCOD.

If at day 14 there is no follicle and you had delayed cycle you can wait till 23 rd day of cycle to see follicle size.

You must watch for ovulation also.
