Brief Answer:
seems like your son is suffering from bronchopneumonia
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
A viral infection like cold followed by cough and bilateral non homogenous shadows in the lungs suggest that he is suffering from bronchopneumonia .
Usually this is accompanied by fever and breathlessness .
This is a serious problem requiring hospitalisation and treatment with intravenous antibiotics and some times oxygen inhalation .
Better admit him to a hospital after consulting the pediatrician .
Normally it takes 1-2weeks for recovery.
With proper treatment, recovery is almost hundred percent in bacterial pneumonias.
Hence you you need not worry too much.
Hope this answer serves your purpose.
Please feel free to ask any further queries as and when required.
