What Does A Lump Under Chin Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Dec 2014
Question: The night before i noticed my neck lump, i burned my right tip of my tongue badly with good. The next morning, three weeks ago, I noticed a lump under the right side of my chin, under my jaw line, that swells sometimes after eating, mostly at night. And it happens with all different types of food. I'm not sick and have not been so I don't think it's my lymph node.

Brief Answer:
It could be a submandibular gland swelling.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
By your description it sounds like a swelling or inflammation of the Rt submandibular gland.
Though it doesn't appear concerning, you should consult your Doctor or a Surgeon and some investigations might be required like a Sialogram. This gland has a propensity for swelling and also for small stone formation.
So please take opinion of a Surgeon and let us know if we can help you further with your queries.

Take care.
