What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?
Question: Hi Doctor, We had our first ultrasound - trans vaginal scan (TVS). Attaching the report and General examination report. Also doctor said heart beat of the baby is good. Do we really get heart beat of the baby at 6 weeks.
Doctor asked us to have TVS after 4 weeks along with Double Marker and NT scan at 6 weeks i.e next TVS scan at 10weeks and NT at 12 weeks. Not sure if this are really required. Can you please educate me on whats the regular lab tests we should have every month and about baby's heart beat weeks.

Hello sir, glad to inform you that her ultrasound is fine and yes indeed we see heartbeat at this stage and in case of anxious couples we do show it to the patient also.
Yes above mentioned ultrasounds are essentially advised to all patients
NT scan is very very important and tells us at te earliest about genetic make up of baby with a specificity of 92-96%.
After this there will be at least 3 more ultrasounds- at 16-18 weeks for seeing all the gross body parts of baby, at 28-30 weeks and 34-36 weeks for assessment of growth of baby.
So in my opinion there is nothing to worry or doubt as yet and just relax and give her good rest and a healthy diet
