Brief Answer:
urinary continence has different possible causes

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Urinary incontinence has a number of different causes. In some cases, a person may have more than one possible cause. There are also different types of incontinence.

It can involve more than one area of the urinary tract. The urinary tract consists of the bladder, urethra (tube passing via the penis and prostate), the prostate, the ureter, kidneys.

Any problem with the structure or function of any of these areas can cause incontinence.
It can also be related to any issues involving spine, since the nerves that supply the bladder come from the spinal cord.

To find the exact cause, you would need to consider visiting your urologist for assessment.
Assessment involves physical examination, urinalysis , cough stress test and post void urine ( how much urine left back in the bladder after urination) imaging of the urinary tract,

There are medications that can help eg milodrine, bentyl, enablex etc but the one used depends on the reason for the incontinence

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
