Question: I'm 53 years old female, and my last mammogram was 16 months ago with normal results. This morning I noticed that I have a light blue bruise on my breast skin with no lump or pain, it’s located on the lower right side of my right breast. What could be the cause of this bruise, I do wear a very tight bra . should I be concerned, given my recent mammogram results?"

Brief Answer:
Needs proper follow up, most probably caused by tight bra

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Normal mammogram 16 months ago is a good thing.
Tight bra is known to cause such skin changes.
There is no lump or pain as per your history.
I think you should not be much concerned at the moment. But needs good follow up. Daily observation, palpation to note any changes in color, size, skin irritation and so on. Also to have clear and focused photos Please post the recent one photo.
If alarming then I would suggest high resolution Ultrasound and color doppler.
Please let me know the present status.
