Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. If you were not above 50 years of age, I would only have recommend a good level of hydration and nothing else. But as you fall into the elderly category ma'am, I would also recommend a visit to your doctor to make sure all circulatory abnormalities are ruled out.

At times, due to poor circulation the area around the lips can go dry. Please go ahead with a complete cardiological examination and a blood coagulation profile. If both return normal results, then a moisturising cream and good level of hydration should be all that would be recommended.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
