Brief Answer:
It needs further ENT/neurological evaluation.See a doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Welcome to HCM,

I have read your query and understand the concern,

After reading your brief query it seems that your son is having tinnitus (ear ringing) which means perceiving an abnormal sound without an external stimulus.

The other symptoms like vertigo and double vision may be neurological origin and it must be ruled out.

However, it is slightly difficult to say about the underlying problem/cause from only his symptoms, without clinical examination.

It might be possible that something is pressing upon the right auditory nerve or there can also be some inflammatory swelling but nothing can be said much, without complete medical history and clinical examination.

Similar symptoms may also be possible due to ototoxicity with some medications or certain food items.

However,to evaluate these symptoms further I would recommend an ENT specialist evaluation first followed by physician or neuro-physician.

An ENT doctor may perform a hearing test (PTA),tests for vestibular (balance) system like electronystagmography or rotation tests to diagnose the cause for vertigo and an MRI of the brain (if needed) after complete neurological checkup.

So,I will suggest you NOT to wait more and seek appropriate medical consultation.
