Posted on Wed, 27 May 2015
Question: I am a woman with large breast. I notice that I have veins running through both of them ... maybe about one to three and it seems like they are in the same place on both breast. I think I do remember having this before and I think they went away... any information

Brief Answer:
Mostly normal thing due to large breast.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Large breast has a relatively vast blood circulation and it is quite COMMON for veins to be visible through skin. It is also seen during pregnancy.

In majority of cases, it has nothing to do with anything abnormal. It will go away automatically. Stop handling your breast too much and wear comfortable breast support.

It is suggested to consult with your gynecologist and discuss it during routine annual examination of breast.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health. Good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

Thanks so much for all your help....
I usually work out with two sport bras for support. Could this be harmful to the situation

Brief Answer:
Sport bra should be slight loose and comfortable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

Your breast support (like sport bra) shouldn't be more tight fitting. It will be slight loose and comfortable. Don't wear breast support during bed time.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Brief Answer:
They will go away naturally.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for additional query.

They will go away automatically with nature's time. You should follow previous suggestion (like wearing loose fitting bra, take off during bed time and avoid handling breast too much etc). It is a physiological phenomena mostly.

Hope, it helps for you. Good luck.
